This is a card for. The theme this week is to make a Christmas card with ribbon. Here is my entry. The stamps are Stamp in the Hand and Memory Box. I stamped all with Marvy markers. Your card is lovely! I really like the colour scheme and there is just so much to look at! I like the way you've stamped it all over. Nice idea and great colours. Wow. Cora - this is stunning! Fabulous stamping and design. Ros Your stamping is fab. I wouldn't have the patience to alter something like this I have a passion for stamps and making things with cover. I have been stamping for over 15 years and often can be seen out and about with ink on my fingers.

Inspired by this latest blog I set out to come up with my own version of these. So I am totally in a Christmas-ish mood. Which is wierd because normally I'm the one who has to lock myself in my bedroom the night before Christmas Eve to wrap stuff. Obviously this year is going to be different and that's fine with me. And after seeing this sweet pile of gifts. I have officailly decided to dub this my Christmas Inspiration Picture of the year. These are my colors. Suet Balls for Birds (For Christmas)

I also used 1 1/2 to 2 inch tall meat trays to pour the mixture into to put inside my wired baskets outside. The were a bit more work than I expected because when I asked for suet at the meat counter I was given a package with a couple of slabs of fat. I had to cut them up and render them drink first. Next measure I'll look harder for suet that's ready to go. In case anyone else has the same thing happen to them here's the method for rendering I found:Grind the beef fat with a meat grinder or finely chop the fat. alter the fat over a low to medium flame until its liquefied. Strain by pouring melted suet through a fine cheesecloth. Let alter to harden. Repeat steps 2-3. If the fat is not rendered twice the suet will not cake properly.
