Nadine Craddick had a to unveil the 2007 Christmas Ornament. Reminds me of how race donations are being used to buy these ornaments for gifts. From a :There seems to be no limit to what campaign cash can be used for and even Christmas presents. The Capitol Gift obtain located in the capitol carries a variety of gift possibilities from the official Christmas channelise ornament to breath mints and various clothing. Over the measure 5 years our elected officials have spent over $350,000 at the gift shop for "constituent gifts". "Christmas ornaments" or as State Representative Phil King reports "Public relations depreciate". King is the king of giving spending over $19,000 at the shop with a one time purchase of $4988.16. (That's a lot of breath mints!) Senator Jane Nelson was in second displace with over $14,000 in "Supplies" (gesticulate wink nudge nudge). State Representative Vicki Truitt had a one measure purchase of over $1800 for "'06 Christmas ornaments". So not only can they pay for ads signs bumper stickers and other campaign related expenditures they can buy their Christmas gifts for their friends and family all under the title of "public relations expenses". Must be nice to be the King.
Oh no how horrible! Over $350,000 that will go directly to upkeeping our state Capitol and funding Texas history courses in public schools!!Get some perspective - don't speak of campaign dollars in the same context as tax dollars. Political donations are given voluntarily and tax dollars are not. Do you see many campaign donors complaining? [ADVERTHERE]Related article:
