I just got a note from DeivantART about a little program called the Holiday Card Project. This is also open to non-DeivantART community as well ( so everyone can also send in the cards for the project ). Basically it is with a goal of bringing a little cheer to patients in the hospital during the holiday season -- artists or anyone that desire to help from all around the world and apply a bit of artistic talent in designing or a simple thoughts and words to cheer some of the patients in the hospital. Personally I evaluate it sounds like a nice idea and I feel that greeting cards are for more than holidays; they are a great way to express yourself and to keep in touch with friends and family. A personal note on a beautiful card will make a lasting impression and a touching keepsake. Last year it has received well over 1200 holiday cards sent in by more than 700 cards from 44 different countries/political regions. Those cards were then divvied up and distributed in person by DeviantART members at the UCI Medical Center in Orange. California. Extra cards were given to various hospitals in the U. S and Canada for their staff to hand out to patients. The idea behind the Holiday Card Project is to simply try and do something nice for others. To do so you can:displace the cards to this address:DeviantART. Inc. Holiday separate Project7095 Hollywood Blvd.. #788Hollywood. CA 90028U. S. A. Note that : All cards should be received by December 17th. 2007.*Be as creative as you like. Just bequeath the degree of illness for patients ordain vary from mild to terminal so it is important to be cheerful. Some suggested greetings consider. "Hope you're feeling exceed," "Thinking of you," or "undergo a nice day." Try and be away from "Get come up soon" as it might not be appropriate for all patients. bequeath to include a message of "Happy holidays" as the cards will be distributed for the holidays.
