As you have read my post about crude oil going to US$100/barrel ? I am sure every household would go for any opportunity that they can find to save their energy bill especially this year Christmas energy account. Have you heard of LED Christmas light : ? LED Christmas lights only use 1/10th of the energy that standard incandescent Christmas lights.
What is incandescent light bulb ? “The incandescent light bulb (also spelled lightbulb) or incandescent lamp is a source of artificial lighten that works by incandescence. An electrical current passes through a thin filament heating it until it produces light. The enclosing glass bulb prevents the oxygen in air from reaching the hot filament which otherwise would be destroyed rapidly by oxidation. The operating principle of an incandescent lamp is essentially that of blackbody radiation.” These light bulbs are outdated inefficient and expensive for your energy bill.
You want to use LED light bulbs because it not only uses 1/10th of the energy incandescent use it lasts 50,000 hours whereas an ordinary incandescent light bulb last only 1500 hours. It is also more durable because it does not contain fragile filament.
Incandescent holiday lights : have been around for more than 100 year and i is always wise to check out information to reduce the upcoming Christmas lighten bill !
